Join the Mini Cosplay and Unite with Anime Fanatics!
The Embassy of Japan in the
Philippines is calling all anime fanatics and true-blue cosplayers to get their
costumes ready, dress up like their favorite anime character and join the
Cosplay Mini Contest in celebration of the 2012 Philippines-Japan Friendship Month.
The Mini
Cosplay Event is open to all Filipino cosplayers from all ages who can cosplay
character from Japanese anime, manga, movies, TV series, J-Pop and J-Rock
personalities. Costumes that are revealing and potentially harmful such as
bladed objects and pyrotechnics are not allowed.
To join the contest, interested
cosplayers are required to submit a duly-accomplished application form, and
include a 2x2 photograph, a full body photograph of them in costume and a photo
of the character they are portraying. The Embassy of Japan will be selecting
fifteen entries who will qualify for the grand finals. From the fifteen
finalists, three will be selected as winners and will be awarded on July 21,
2012 at SM Mall of Asia’s Music Hall.
