Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb movie review
When the first Night At The Museum was shown, I never thought it would be a good fantasy movie and Ben Stiller is not what I expected to be the choice as a hero of this genre since he is into comedy. But this fantasy story also has share of comedy. Besides, the late Robin Williams is also in the movie.
I never imagined that the museum like the New York Museum of Natural History would be a back draft of the magic that is going to occur. I would not be surprised if this movie will bring people back in going to the museums.
Robin Williams is known for impersonations but he never impersonate a historical character and looked like at the same time. He played Theodore Roosevelt, one of the presidents of the United States that is dressed as an army cavalryman with a rank of colonel during the war in Cuba against Spain.
Although Teddy Roosevelt is dressed as a soldier, he knows his history and after his career in the army, that he knows he will be and was a president. He also knows he is made of wax and that he embodied a historical figure.
If you recall the previous movies, the museum gang continued their adventure at another major museum, the Smithsonian Institute and now, the British Museum. I am glad they chose Lancelot as a historical or legendary figure to represent the museum since Britain is known for it's knights. My only curiosity was how did Lancelot have a life-size figure without King Arthur and Guinevere around.
For Ben Stiller's character, night shift guard Larry Daley is supposed to have character development. If you recall, Larry met a girl in the last scene in the previous movie. But it was good to watch as it all end for the better. Who knows if the magic behind will spawn a new movie story arc. As for Ben Stiller, I would not mind if there's a Neighborhood Watch sequel too.
