Infinity War Casts Surprises Marvel Fans in the Philippines

April 15, 2018. SM Megamall Cinema in Metro Manila. Marvel fans gathered to celebrate the latest and upcoming Marvel Studios movie, Avengers: Infinity War. Coincidently, the cast are gathered at Singapore and we were gathered to watch the live broadcast for the world premiere.

We were told that we are going to be recorded will be featured back at Singapore for the cast to see us and chant,” We are ready for you, Avengers! After rehearsing the line and chanting it for the last time, we were caught in surprised as we saw Infinity War co-director Joe Russo, Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Karen Gillan (Nebula) are watching us live.

 

Cumberbatch says they were quite thrilled with the welcome reception from the fans of Marvel and he never thought that being in Marvel would be big. Both Karen and Benedict are known for their dual fandoms. Benedict as the iconic consulting detective set in the modern day in the series Sherlock and Karen in Doctor Who.

 

Speaking of Sherlock, it would be fun to see Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr. together since RDJ also played Holmes for the Sherlock Holmes movies. Joe Russo said without giving much of the story that there will be changes for MCU Phase 4 after the next Avengers movie.

 

The last time I had this fun was the live broadcast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer release but having interaction on live chat with the cast is a better experience and both happened in SM Cinema. Now I can’t wait to watch it in IMAX.
