Kick Ass 2 movie review

Story reference on my previous blog post.
Review: When Kick Ass first shown in cinema, it build a hype that not only comic book fans can appreciate but those who love superhero movies as well. Kick Ass was adapted from a graphic novel of the same name. Created by Mark Millar, who recently visited the Philippines.
It seems that Mr. Millar has the same type of characters as the protagonist of the story. Kick Ass is an underdog just like the protagonist of Millar's other work, Wanted. But that was what the story needed. That heroism comes from the ordinary people and does extraordinary things. Kick Ass embodied that role.
He was bullied in school which most people experienced including me. Yet, he still made a difference. In this sequel, his character evolved from the previous movie. Even though it is fictional, there is a number of superhero wannabes that is doing their part in U.S. They also dressed in costumes just like the Justice Forever and roam the streets like our local barangay tanod.
There are also character developments to Hit Girl and Red Mist but there will be no flashbacks from Nicholas Cage. Instead, Jim Carrey fill in this story as Major Stars and Stripes.
Without spoiling, I can guarantee that it is still fun to watch like the previous one and more Hit Girl action. The comic sequel took two years to be published and the third mini-series is currently ongoing. If ever there will be a sequel, they have to do it soon because the actors are not getting any younger. However, if you already read the comic book, there are twists that are not included in the movie adaptation. Kick Ass 2 is released and distributed by UIP and Universal Studios through Solar Entertainment in Philippine cinemas.
