Disclaimer From The Knight Of The Old Code

Late last month on this blog, I posted a pre-event material promoting the Zombie Run dated for Halloween. It was a request from the publicist. The event also had a presscon earlier. It went well until the day itself came.

Upon arrival to document the event, expectations were not met as it started. There were no firetrucks loaned as we were told but the registration were ongoing. The zombies were already there but it didn't reach the expected number(3000 but it probably didn't even reached 200).

The worse part was that there are zombies who were intruding that was not part of the event. You can see the difference because the designated zombies wore special make up effects equivalent to the movies.

There were also reports that these intruding zombies were abusing some runners. They designated zombies were only allowed to grab the ribbons from the runners, not the runners themselves. The intruding zombies were grabbing some of personal items belonged to the runners. That is considered theft.

I was also told that the designated zombies were not paid for the event. You can also see the stage is there but it's empty. There were expected bands to perform. The bands expected said that they were no arrangements to perform there.

The worse part was that runners were not impressed with the event. I agree that there should be a refund. If I evaluate the situation, the organizers should not pulled the event in the first place when the plan go sour.

This is my disclaimer that this blog as well as the other bloggers, the publicist has no involvement in the logistics, event planning and operations of the zombie run but only used as promoters of this flop event.
