Charles Perrault's 388th Year( January 12,1628)

If you don't know Charles Perrault then you probably never read any fairy tale from a storybook. Charles Perrault is the person you should thank for stories like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and Puss In Boots. He wrote a lot more than that but it was these four that became popular.

Even though that the stories varied from the original source as well as the movie adaptions, it pays to know whom the credit is due and read the original material that is not a Disney animated movie or a re-imagined live action movie.

Merci beaucoup, M. Perrault. For more pop-culture updates, follow this blog and like L.E.N.S. blogs on Facebook.
