Johnny Depp Surprises Fans as Captain Jack Sparrow at Disneyland!

Last month, I saw an amateur video footage of Johnny Depp surprising fans at Disneyland as his trademark character Jack Sparrow. Although the video was done in the perspective of one of the guests taking the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride, it was clear what the guests saw from their vantage point.

Finally, an official video of that time is now online. It was shown that Johnny Depp poses like a statue. When one of the boats carrying the guests arrives, Depp starts his act. The official camera shows the reactions of the guests.

This is probably the best marketing stunt they did to promote the movie Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge(International title release) or Dead Men Tell No Tales(U.S. release). It is also fitting for Disney Pictures to do this because Pirates is originally a theme ride of Disney before the movie series. Johnny Depp wouldn’t be having a regular acting if it weren’t for this theme park. Opens in Philippine cinemas May 24.
