Fresh Insights about toycraft with J*Ryu

My high school buddy and fellow blogger Mark Cerbo introduced me to the the world of art toys especially on vinyl types. I have a pretty clear idea what kind of toy is it which is called toys for the big boys. But these are not the toys that you play with.
J*Ryu and vinyl toy enthusiast Mark Cerbo.

J*Ryu started his craft in customizing toys and his inspiration was the super mecha of the 70's like Mazinger, Voltez V and Daimos which is not far off from Pinoy favorites. J*Ryu is traditionally business oriented. With the background and training of an industrial engineer, he found out this was not his true calling.

J*Ryu shares us his insights of his work and creation, the F.A,D. Dunny, that this are not play toys but it is also meant to be shown to other people, not keeping it in your private room. It is part collectible, part toy.

The love for vinyl toys is still a small community but if you are one of the with this unique interest, you are not alone in this world because you have this passion that is common whether you are L.A. based like J*Ryu or just here in our tropical country of ours. Catch J*Ryu as he speaks about his craft and reveal to the public his latest work first and only here in Asia Pop ComiCon Manila.
