Heroes Reborn series 2-episode premiere review

I am already of Heroes since it was first introduced to me by a friend of mine and I immediately got hooked. In a span of four seasons, the characters became a part of popular culture and became a TV phenomenon.

It's been 5 years  Heroes since they last bid farewell in the airwaves. There were rumors of reviving it but it was only till now that it will indeed return to television. The series made also made a big break for some of its cast and is now making it big in the movie business.

The series took place 5 years after where the series ended and for the obvious reasons, the gap between the two series appears to make the Heroes universe is dormant. After having crisis after every season, they were finally at peace until the new series Heroes Reborn.

At first thought, it was given idea that it was rebooted. The series took place where the EVOs(short term for the evolved) finally coexists with the humans and celebrating the coexistence in Odessa, Texas where clandestine Primatech once operated until the explosion massacred the humans and EVOs alike.

This made the EVOs on the run again. Among the original cast, only Jack Coleman the regular actor reprising the role. This only means that there are still secrets waiting to be revealed as Noah Bennet a.k.a. H.R.G. is going to uncover.

In the absence of the previous characters, I am curious what kind of developments Zachary Levi's character is going. Unlike his previous title role in Chuck, his character is darker. Among the new characters, what I find appealing is the new Japanese girl. Both these new characters are in the ensemble photos used for promotion purposes.

I am also looking forward to old characters as well. Even though you haven't seen Heroes, you can start with this series but it will also get you curious to watch the old series because there are some "easter eggs" in the series that you will only decipher if you are familiar with the series.

Here in the Philippines, it is only fitting that JackTV is the best channel to watch Heroes Reborn because it was in the old station RPN 9 where the previous series was first seen.in free TV. Heroes Reborn will be shown weekly every Friday at 8PM on the same day as the U.S. airing. For more Heroes Reborn update, follow this blog and like L.E.N.S. blogs on Facebook.
