Monsters University movie review

Remember Sulley and Mikey of Monsters Inc? Two monsters who discovered laughter as a power source. Disney and Pixar is reintroducing them before they became top scare team In Monsters University. In this prequel, John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprises their roles when they were still in college.

What I like about this movie was that the tandem of Billy Crystal and John Goodman is that they are a great pair in comedy. I hope they can do the same act in a live action comedy which never done in movies before. Steve Buscemi also reprises his role as Randall. Monsters University also introduced new characters.

But the most noticeable and distinct new character was Hellen Mirren, who played Dean Hardscrabble. Her toughness also reflects in this animated character. As for the story, it was like any campus story only way cooler. I never thought campus flicks can be this funny.

The movie is child-friendly. It is a Rated General Patronage. I am sure my niece will like it if she's going to watch it. Be sure to watch it in 3D. Seen at SM Megamall last Saturday, June 22, 2013.
