Punk'd Your Chucks

The Converse Chuck Taylor are considered to be the shoes of the modern art. Musicians and artists wear those classic high cuts. But there are potential use to the Chucks than just foot wear. The Chucks can also be a modern type of canvass. It is an easier medium to express creativity.

 

Speaking of creativity, our local comic book artists are also making it big in the mainstream. You can see popular Filipino names in Marvel or DC Comics. In the home front, there are original works being published that has huge number of fans.

 

In this manner, Converse is advocating to promote local talents and create an area of expression using the Chucks. During the launch in a Converse outlet in Glorietta, local comic book artist Kajo Baldisimo(Trese) and Bow Guerrero(Dark Colony) demonstrated to punk'd the Chucks the comics way.

 

While they Bow and Kajo are doing their work, a couple of kids wear already starting their own punk'd Chucks. The work these girls did is the main idea to promote creativity in using Chucks. The work of Cheska in a good example on what you can do.

 

You can also be creative with your own pair of Chucks. All you have to do is buy a pair and see if there is a scheduled area session in that outlet and put your creativity in those pair of Chucks.
