Project Almanac movie review

Time travel is one of my favorite themes for science fiction. It explores the possibility that if someone can go back or forward in time, it gives us a thought on what you could do. This will make you think if your action is logical or not, good or bad. Either way, it is just two sides of a coin according to theories of time travel.

In this movie, it did tackle that concern. Although it appears like a low-budgeted movie Michael Bay produced, it was still cool for me. At first they made it look like a documentary-type following the success of The Blair Witch Project which pioneered many documentary-story type movies, but it was executed well.

There had been many time travel stories in sci-fi series and movies but only few were considered cool like Dr. Who, Voyagers!, and Quantum Leap but not as iconic as Back To The Future. There many theories that time travel is possible but how it could be done is not known. According to Einstein, we can go to the future via space travel and you may come back like you haven't age but your friends and family may be gone.

The device in Project Almanac is something closer to a possibility since time travel still requires a big amount of power. But the effects on traveling to the past is just theoretical. Quantum physics is a complicated science. Just so happens, 2015 is the year of the future according to Back To The Future trilogy.
