Batman at 75 Exhibit at The Block

Comic book fans anticipated this year as the Year Of The Bat because the Dark Knight is now 75 years old. As one of the oldest iconic pop culture figure, it is fitting that he's given this recognition.

This year's Toycon started the celebration followed by a Batman Free Comic Book at Fully Booked. The Batman at 75 exhibit at The Block's activity area showcase individual collection from Hot Toys, DC Direct and Lego DC merchandise and some significant highlights from the comic books.

Although I never got to see it, there is a Batmobile experience inside the covered area and the only one can access it if you bought P500 worth of Batman/DC Apparel merchandise at the location. This is what I like about SM Clothing. They provide seasonal shirts for the fans. They did the same thing during the release of The Dark Knight Rises in Philippine cinemas.

My only comment here is I was expecting more from the participation of DC Comics or Warner TV since they currently showing the new series Gotham. But I like the life size Bartman and Batcave display. For more geeky updates, follow this blog and L.E.N.S. blogs on Facebook.
